Spelling
The game’s name is Hostile Architect, two words, with architect spelled A-R-C-H-I-T-E-C-T. Searches often flip it to “hostile architecture,” which is a different topic, or drop a letter. Those other spellings are not separate games from SludgeBit.
Questions
Is Hostile Architect out yet?
No. Steam’s date string is To be announced, and the press kit says Pre-release. Checked 13 October 2026.
Is there a demo?
No demo block is on the store page. A player asked “is there a demo planned?” on 29 September 2026. That question is not a schedule.
Is there a mobile version or APK?
No. Official platforms are Windows and macOS. Play and iTunes searches did not list this game.
Is there multiplayer?
Steam lists Single-player. No co-op or versus category is published.
What about Linux?
platforms.linux is false. A Steam thread asked “Linux?” and no port was promised there.
Is there a Discord?
Yes. The official invite linked from Steam opens a community named Hostile Architect. Use the Official Discord invite in Sources; member and online counts vary.
Can I design my own heroes?
Not announced. A discussion asked about creating heroes to attack the castle. There is no feature description answering yes.
Where do I buy it?
Steam, when it is for sale. No price and no other store are listed. GOG search returned zero results.
How much will it cost?
Unknown. price_overview is null and is_free is false.
Is this hostile architecture, the design idea?
No. That is a term for buildings that steer people away. This is a video game. The comparison page explains the split.
Is this the Ashenspire album?
No. Ashenspire released an album titled Hostile Architecture in 2022. Different artist, different medium.
What language is the game in?
English. The API supported_languages value is English, and the store does not mark Simplified Chinese as supported.
